ACERÁLAVA manufactures stainless steel long products, being round and square billets as well as round bars the main scope. Those bar and billets can be either forged, rolled or both. Size range goes from120 mm to 500 mm.

From 2017, Aceralava offers several ingot types which can be round section, square section or multifaced type.

Multifaced ingot type size range goes from 16 to 22 ton gross weight. Round section ingots area pproximately 7 ton gross weight and square section ingots can weight approx. 3 to 11 tons.

The melting shop uses aconventional ingot casting systemwith Electric Arc Furnace plusArgon Oxygen Decarburization(EAF+AOD).

Aceralava has 2 open die forgingpresses, 2000 tons and 3000 tonscapacity each, and also a rolling lineor blooming.

The finishing facilities includegrinding, peeling and polishinglines.

Established at the beginning of the 90 ‘s, MUGAFIL is a drawing company specialized in the manufacturing of Bright Wire (Low carbon), cold drawn ribbed wire and nails.

Since the middle of 2008, the company has been located in their new facilities of Vitoria (Basque Country).

• Bright Wire: Bright drawn wire is obtained by drawing low carbon (<0,12%) wire, resulting a perfectly calibrated and dry or oiled wire. Suitable for folding, welding and slitting as well as for painting, galvanizing and chroming. From 2 to 19 mm (From 5/64 to 11/16) Coils from 500kg to 2.500 kg. Bars from 250mm to 12 meters of length.
• Cold Drawn Ribbed Wire B500T: The ribbed wire of Muga l trademark, is obtained from cold rolling of low carbón wire rod (<0,22) and using a system of corrugating rollers. From 3 to 12 mm. Coils from 500kg to 2.000kg. Bars from 250mm to 12 meters of length.

La actividad de NERVACERO, empresa perteneciente a CELSA Group, empieza en los primeros años de la década de los años 70.

Sus orígenes se remontan a los últimos años de la década de los 50, época en la que se construyó un tren de laminación en terrenos cercanos a los ocupados actualmente. Años más tarde, en el año 1988, NERVACERO pasa a formar parte de CELSA Group.

La planta de NERVACERO alberga dos instalaciones productivas diferentes. Por un lado, la acería con una capacidad técnica de producción de más de 1.000.000 ton/año de palanquilla, y un tren de laminación, cuya capacidad de producción está alrededor de 600.000 ton/año de acero corrugado.

Mediante la tecnología de fusión de chatarra en horno de arco eléctrico (EAF) y colada continua de 6 líneas, la acería es capaz de producir una gran variedad de grados de acero de medio y bajo carbono, así como otras calidades de baja aleación con elementos como Mn, V, Nb, etc., todos ellos en diferentes secciones y longitudes. Ejemplos de los grados de acero fabricados en forma de palanquilla en NERVACERO son: S235, S275, S355 y A107.

El tren de laminación de NERVACERO está constituido por dos líneas de producción y dos acabados (barra recta y rollo spooler), que pueden ser explotados simultáneamente en diferentes combinaciones de diámetros y acabados por cada una de las líneas.

Además de los diámetros estándares de acero corrugado (entre 8 y 40 mm), NERVACERO es capaz de fabricar bajo demanda diámetros en pulgadas (3/8”,1⁄2”, 5/8”, 3⁄4”, 1”, 5/4”), tal y como describen las diferentes normas ASTM relativas al acero para refuerzo de hormigón.

Los aceros corrugados fabricados por NERVACERO son de ductilidad normal (clase B) y ductilidad especial (clase C), tanto en los grados 400 como 500. Por otro lado, el tren de laminación es capaz también de fabricar otros grados intermedios, como, por ejemplo, los descritos por las normas ASTM A615 y A706 (grado 40, grado 60, grado 75) y otras similares.

NERVACERO está en posesión de los certificados de sistemas de gestión ISO 9001, ISO 14001 e ISO 45001, certificado de sostenibilidad europeo (SUSTSTEEL) y estatal (SOSTENIBILIDAD SIDERURGICA), así como certificados de producto en 14 países, tanto de países europeos, como de terceros países (Israel, Australia, Singapur).
