SIDENOR INDUSTRIAL, a subsidiary of Brazil-based Gerdau Group, with 3 production centres and 2.250 employees in Spain, has two core businesses for the production and transformation of steel.

- Special steels for the Automotive Sector, Mechanical, Energy, White Goods...industries produced in Basauri, Vitoria and Reinosa. Within this business, it is worth highlighting the strategy to increase the production of higher grade steels notably stainless steels.

- Large forged pieces and castings, weighing up to 65 tons, and 110 tons respectively, including rolling mill rolls, produced in the Reinosa plant, one of the most important European plants for heavy forge and castings.

SIDENOR INDUSTRIAL also participates in the forging (stamping) sector through its Forjanor business with plants in Villalba (nr. Madrid) and Elgeta (nr.Bilbao).

In the Special Steel business, Sidenor Industrial offers a complete range of rolled products (wire rod, bars, flats, billets), cold finished (cold drawn, peeling/turning and straightening) and forged products (bars and flats) in carbon steels, microalloyed steels, cold forming steels, bearing steels, tool steels and stainless steels.

  • Wile Rod: 5,5-37 mm
  • Rolled Flar Bar: 135-172x92-170 mm

Heat treatments: quenched & tempered, spheroidal annealing, isothermal annealing Isothermal, normalizing, etc.

Drop Forging (FORJANOR)

  • Manufacturing processes by automatic and vertical hot forging, cold extrusion, and horizontal upsetting forginf.
  • Great variety of pieces principally destined for de automotive industry (these pieces form part of the gearbox, transmission parts, bearing industry, engine...).
